The major issue with erupted wisdom teeth is that they can be difficult to reach. To keep your mouth clean when you have wisdom teeth, be sure to spend a little bit longer brushing and cautiously clean each of the wisdom teeth at the back of your dental arches.

While brushing twice per day is great, it isn’t sufficient on its own: flossing and rinsing with mouthwash are additional ways to keep your mouth clean and healthy. If you are not able to floss your wisdom teeth with traditional floss, consider using a water flosser.

Follow the given instructions on your bottle of mouthwash to get the most use out of it; don’t forget to look for an ADA seal when buying the mouthwash. By brushing, flossing, rinsing with mouthwash and visiting our office for visits often, you’ll be able to keep your oral cavity healthy.
